The calligraphy store blog will be launching at the end of January. Filled with posts about supplies and projects along with inspirational interviews with our favourite calligraphers we hope it will be an excellent resource for all calligraphers whether beginners of experts.
This week sees the first episode of a new feature of the blog, little mini interviews with amazing calligraphers, some of which I am lucky enough to call my friends. First up this week is my darling friend Zoe from The Golden Letter, I met Zoe a few years ago through a wedding industry Facebook group and I think I may have spoken to her pretty much every day since. She is not only an amazing calligrapher but an awesome wedding stationer too. She very kindly found a spare minute to answer some questions for the blog recently.
I am sure I am not the only one to have a pot (or pots) full to the brim of penholders on my desk - I mean does anyone just have one?! Surely not. As a calligrapher and stationer I am pre programmed to love stationery - and pens are just one of those things so yes I hoard them….but I do also have favourites which I reach for more often than others.
For our first blog post I wanted to introduce myself and to talk a bit about how I got into calligraphy as it is one of my most asked questions whenever I do Q&A posts over on Instagram. I will try and keep it short and sweet but I am warning you now along with most things that I write it may turn into a ramble.
The Calligraphy Store is continuing to stay open during this time. As a home based business we can continue to do this safely and are minimising our post office trips as much as we can. Our current dispatch time is within 7 working days however we are currently experiencing an increase in orders and appreciate your understanding that there may be delays. All parcels are shipped via Royal Mail who despite their best efforts may experience some disruptions. Thank you so much for your support and understanding during these unprecedented times. L x
